Mirror Image lll

( # 3 of a series) NO WOOD - Single piece of stone.

This carving is a classic example of Mike's one-of-a-kind finishes. The piece is carved from one piece of stone to look like it is an otter and a piece of driftwood with both halves of the carving mirroring each other. Often nature imitates itself in beautiful and unexpected ways.

In this work, Mike Tyler represents the River Otter in a single piece of Brazilian soapstone.
